2013 USATF Oregon Road Race Championships Series is back!

USATF Oregon Long Distance Running committee is happy to announce the return of the USATF Oregon Road Race Championship series.

$4,000 in prize money is up for grabs for USATF OREGON members this year in the 3 races that comprise this year's series.

For 2013 we've lined up championships that will cover 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K on the roads.

USATF Oregon will continue to host the 1 Mile Road Race Championships on top of Mt. Tabor on Memorial Day in late May. This unique event is quickly becoming a spring road race classic!

The USATF Oregon 5K championships will coincide with the Bowerman AC 5K on July 27th at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The BAC 5K is the fastest 5K in Oregon with over 50 people clocking sub-17:00 for 5K in 2012. Complete with food, beers, and a live band the BAC 5K is a summer twilight favorite!

The final stop on the series is one of the best road races in Oregon! USATF Oregon is proud to be working with Run with Paula events again this year to have the annual Pints to Pasta 10K Footrace in early September serve as the 2013 USATF Oregon 10K road race championships! Run with Paula events is known throughout the Northwest for putting on AMAZING racing events and Pints to Patsa is one of their best events on their calendar. Last year's edition saw 60+ people break the 40 minute mark for 10K! Pints to Pasta is truly one of the fastest road 10Ks in Oregon and a worthy host race of 2013 USATF Oregon 10K road race championships!

USATF Oregon XC Championships for Open/Masters set for November 10th

2012 USATF Oregon XC Championships Open/Masters

The 2012 USATF-Oregon Open/Master XC Championship Race will be held on Saturday November 10th at Pier Park in Portland, Oregon in conjunction with the 2012 Stumptown Cross Series race #4 hosted by Team Red Lizard.

The Women’s Open/Master Race will be 6,000m and will start at 9:00am. 2011 RESULTS HERE

The Men’s Open/Master Race will be 8,000m and will start at 9:45am. 2011 RESULTS HERE

Athletes can sign up online for the 2012 USATF-Oregon Open/Master XC Championship at http://www.redlizardrunning.com/xc/. The cost is $15.00. There will be day of race registration available beginning at 8:00am on race day.

 
2012 USATF-Oregon Open/Master XC Championship race scoring rules

1. You must be a 2012 member of USATF Oregon in order to compete in this race and count towards scoring in the 2012 USATF-Oregon XC Championship team competition and to be eligible for prizes. Athletes can join USATF at www.usatf.org/membership.
2. For the 2012 USATF-Oregon XC Championship team scoring, the top 4 runners on each team will score. If there is a tie, the 5th runner breaks the tie.
