2011 Bowerman AC 5k - Saturday July 30th 7.00pm

Online registration is closed for the 2011 BAC 5K. You can still register Day of Race from 5.00pm to 6.30pm

A few important pieces of information from the Race Directors of the BAC 5K:

Race start time is 7.00 PM


The race is this coming Saturday July 30th at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton
(address One Bowerman Drive, Beaverton OR 97005)

Hang out for the post race party –we’ll have a beer garden and band along with some Nike’s pro runners in attendance, and a drawing for 10 pairs of Nike shoes as part of the awards presentation. Basic refreshments will be provided (water, snacks), but bring along a little cash for a burger and a beer. (and think about donating your change to our charity – Achon Uganda Children’s Fund – they’ll be set up with an information booth at the party)

EARLY PACKET PICK UP

Thursday July 28th NOON to 8pm and Friday July 29th 10am to 7pm at Road Runner Sports in Tualatin

RRS will offer 10% OFF all purchases of regularly priced items to runners who pick up their packet in store on 7/28 and 7/29.

If you are, or become, a Road Runner Sports VIP member you will be privileged to 25% OFF all purchases of regularly priced NIKE items when you pick up your packet in store on 7/28 or  7/29.

DAY OF RACE PACKET PICK UP

5.00pm to 6.30pm at the Tiger Woods Bldg on the Nike Campus on Saturday July 30th (race day)

At packet pickup you will receive your number and your tee shirt.

The race numbers contain the timing chips PLEASE DON’T SCRUNCH YOUR NUMBER it may result in you time not being recorded.
 







OTHER IMPORTANT INFO

On race day please enter the Nike Campus on the Walker Road entrance. You will be directed to parking convenient to the packet pickup and race start.

The race start is also by the Tiger Woods Bldg.

The course will be 1.75 laps of the inner ring road, finishing on the grass field in front of the Tiger Woods building. It is a measured 5k loop and there will be mile marks at mile 1 and 2. Please see the course map above.

Dobson, Zeferjahn crowned 2011 USATF Oregon 10K Road Race Champions!

Ian Dobson of Oregon Track Club and Tanya Zeferjahn of Bowerman AC  won the men's and women's division, respectively, at Butte to Butte 10K in Eugene, Oregon on July 4th. 

The Butte to Butte served as the 2011 USATF Oregon 10K Road Race Championships and their efforts also earned Ian and Tanya the USATF Oregon 10K Road Race crowns for 2011.

Butte to Butte 10K to serve as 2011 USATF Oregon 10K Road Race Championships




The Butte to Butte on July 4th in Eugene, Oregon will serve as the 2011 USATF Oregon 10K Road Race Championships. The top male and female Open and Master USATF Oregon finishers will be recognized as the 2011 USATF Oregon 10K Road Race Champions.  

The Butte to Butte 10k prize purse will be distributed by the organizing committee of the Butte to Butte 10k. Prize money will be award to the top finishers of the race regardless of USATF-Oregon affiliation. There will be no USATF Oregon payout for this race.

Largest ever U.S. Masters Team takes on World

Bringing the largest contingent ever to the World Masters Athletics Championships, 1,915 members of Team USA will be on a medal hunt to excel on home soil while competing against 4,804 competitors from 93 countries.
